Mrs. Simms has a NEW Donors Choose project going on to help us get more Chrome Books in Second Grade. If you are willing to help out please follow the link to donate or share with your friends and family! Use the code LIFTOFF to have your donation matched up to $50.
Check out my classroom on @DonorsChoose! I'd love your help to bring my project to life:
We will be going on a field trip Wednesday, May 29th to the Louisville Nature Center. The previous field trip that was scheduled was not able to be refunded due to it being a travelling production and having to pay ahead of time. We are able to apply the money from the buses to the current field trip, so the cost of going to the Nature Center will only be $7. We apologize for any inconvenience. We are looking forward to a fun day at the Nature Center with the students!
Due to the nature of our field trip to the Louisville Nature Center, ALL parents can come! You are welcome to join us there. While only one parent can ride the bus with the class, parents are welcome to meet us there.
It's hard to believe that it's almost the end of the year! As the day is rapidly approaching, please mark your calendar for the school awards ceremony. It will be held on the last day of school (June 7th). The second grade ceremony will being at 1:15. We can't wait to see you there. Also, please join the PTA for the End-of-Year Bash! The event will be held after school, on Friday, May 10th. It will be a great time with fun and games for the whole family.
The end of the year is full of many fun activities and can be a very exciting time. While having fun is important, students are still expected to maintain and follow school and classroom rules and expectations. Please remind your child of the importance of staying focused and following instructions during the last few weeks of school. We look forward to enjoying our time together and finishing the year strong!
Due to testing our schedule will be changed for the next two weeks. This includes our lunch schedule. The following times are the assigned for each class:
We have started our new behavior and work/study policy that was updated by the school's SBDM council.
